Coding and decoding are one of the topics in which you need to memorize all Alphabets with their numerical place values. If we somehow able to recall the position values of alphabets, it would become easy to solve problems.
So first, let’s see the Alphabets and their positions
There are 26 alphabets and remembering each of them with their position isn’t easy. So, in this situation, we will see how we can memorize them by relating them something in a logical way so that we grab them faster.
Here is the way to memorize it, see the list and you will relate each and every alphabet with their position.
Note:
- J for Jug and the image of jug somehow close to 10
- L is at 12, which is twelve if you pronounce it you find L at the end
I created it as per my preference and you can also make your own list for yourself.
Learn this word too,
All are multiple of 5.
We can also use this format while solving these kinds of questions.
Types of Questions with Coding-Decoding tricks
When the alphabets in a word are in a continuous sequence
Q. ‘ZYXW’ as coded as ‘ABCD’ then ‘STUV’ is coded as………..
ZYXW = ABCD
STUV = HGFE
When alphabets in a word are not in a continuous sequence
- In such cases, we use the position value of alphabets and try to understand what changes are happening
Q.‘ bcd’ is coded as ‘def’ then ‘True’ is coded as……….
When codes are given and need to create a code out for a word
Q. PUSH is coded as 1234, ROUGH is coded as 65274. Then SOUP is coded
